As you stroll along Hwangnidan-gil in Gyeongju, you'll spot a gray Seokguram Miffy statue standing in front of a hanok building — that's Miffy Store Gyeongju! We visited because we heard they carry limited-edition goods you can only buy in Gyeongju.
Store Layout
The Miffy Store is divided into a main building and an annex.
The main building carries the Gyeongju-exclusive edition goods,
while the annex mostly features the regular editions.
Neither section is very large — they're actually pretty compact.
That said, the layout lets you browse in a loop, so it didn't feel inconvenient at all!
Gyeongju-Exclusive Editions
The real highlight of Miffy Store Gyeongju is definitely the Gyeongju-exclusive edition goods! From Seokguram Miffy to the Pensive Bodhisattva keyring, the Chalbori (glutinous barley) Miffy Bread Boris keyring, and the Chalbori Bread pouch — there was a wonderful variety of merchandise infused with Gyeongju's local charm.
There were so many adorable keyrings and plush toys including the Seokguram Miffy, and they weren't as expensive as you might expect, so picking them out didn't feel like a burden.
The Seokguram Miffy and Chalbori Miffy plush keyrings we bought were around 15,000–16,000 KRW each.
However, the larger plush toys were priced in the 40,000–80,000 KRW range.
Besides plush toys, they also had ballpoint pens and phone grips, all under 10,000 KRW.
What We Bought
We picked up several keyrings in addition to the Seokguram Miffy keyring! We got some as gifts and some to keep, and at this price, they make great Gyeongju souvenirs!
Wait Times
We visited twice — once around 5:00 PM on a Friday and again around 1:00 PM on a Saturday. On Friday afternoon, there was no wait and we walked right in!
On Saturday morning through afternoon, though, there was a line, and we waited outside for about 15 minutes before getting in. If you're planning a weekend visit, I'd recommend going early in the morning or being prepared for a short wait!
