This weekend I visited Pangyo izakaya matjip (matjip — popular local eatery) Aigasa.
We went to Igane Lamb Skewers Pangyo main branch for the first round, and for the second round we were looking for a place where we could eat something relatively simple, so we stopped by here. The food served with alcohol (bar snacks) was tasty and the atmosphere was really nice. ☺️

Sashimi, nabe (Japanese hotpot), and teppan (iron-grilled) dishes seemed to be the main offerings, and there were also a variety of side dishes like tempura, pasta, and homemade mochiri-dofu (chewy/mochi-like tofu)!

Spicy seafood hotpot with whole squid
Since we came for the second round that day, we ordered just one hotpot. On the staff's recommendation, we went with the Spicy seafood hotpot with whole squid!
Not only squid but also blue crab, mussels, and various other seafood were included. Because nabe is usually hearty and mild, it can feel a bit heavy as a second-round food served with alcohol (bar snack), but Aigasa's Spicy seafood hotpot with whole squid had such a great balance of refreshing and hearty flavors, probably thanks to the seafood.
It's a flavor that makes you want to drink more!! The first sip is spicy and refreshing, and the finish is clean and mild. 😋
I was curious about the homemade mochiri-dofu (chewy/mochi-like tofu) and wanted to order it, but I was too full so I skipped it.. (Next time I'll try the sashimi and the homemade mochiri-dofu!)
💡 Store Atmosphere
The place had bar counter seating and regular tables.
Overall the atmosphere was quiet, with couples sitting at the bar tables and groups occupying the regular tables.
The bar tables also weren't facing the kitchen, so you don't often make eye contact with the staff, which felt less awkward and pleasant.
Restroom, Parking, and Smoking Area
The restroom is located inside the building; if you go out through the back door, it's on the right. They use the building restroom, and it was gender-segregated restrooms.
Parking
The parking is the underground parking of the Pangyo Hyosung Harrington Tower located to the right of the store entrance. It looks like up to 2 hours of free parking is available!
Smoking area
There didn't seem to be a separate smoking area. From what I saw, smokers tended to smoke near the parking entrance on the right side of the store.
